Larva BioControl
A broad-spectrum biological control agent using live entomopathogenic nematodes (Steinernema carpocapsae) to manage insect larvae across 300+ species — delivering >80% efficacy within 24–48 hours of application.

Larva BioControl harnesses the power of live Steinernema carpocapsae entomopathogenic nematodes — a minimum 50 million nematodes per pack — to seek out and parasitize soil-dwelling and foliar insect larvae across more than 300 species. Once inside the host, the nematodes release symbiotic bacteria that kill the larva within 24–48 hours. A three-stage application protocol pushes efficacy beyond 90%, making this the biological solution of choice for commercial fruit, vegetable, flower and rice growers seeking a non-toxic alternative to synthetic insecticides.
- Over 80% efficacy on tested insect larvae; exceeds 90% with the 3-stage application protocol.
- Controls larvae across 300+ insect species — caterpillars, fungus gnat larvae, grubs, borers and more.
- Lethal within 24–48 hours of application under optimal conditions.
- Safe for plants, animals, beneficial insects and non-toxic to people and livestock.
- No water or soil pollution; fully compatible with organic production programmes.
- Shelf life up to 2 months; extends to 5 months under refrigeration.
| Active organism | Steinernema carpocapsae (entomopathogenic nematode) — min. 50 million nematodes per pack |
|---|---|
| Target pests | Insect larvae of 300+ species — caterpillars, grubs, root borers, fungus gnat larvae |
| Efficacy | >80% on tested insects; >90% with 3-stage protocol |
| Time to kill | 24–48 hours |
| Mix rate | 0.16 oz (4.5 g / 1 tsp) per gallon of water |
| Pack yield | 1 × 4 oz pack produces 25 gallons of solution |
| Field rate | 6 packs per acre (1.5 lbs/acre; 3 lbs/hectare) |
| Shelf life | Up to 2 months; up to 5 months refrigerated |
Foliar spray
Mix 4.5 g (1 tsp) per gallon. Apply 25–50 gallons per acre. Keep temperature below 86°F; agitate continuously during spray to keep nematodes in suspension.
Soil drench
Mix at the same rate. Apply 250–500 gallons of solution per acre for soil-dwelling larvae such as grubs, root borers and fungus gnat larvae.
