Mode of action

A balanced P-K fertilizer with calcium and magnesium, applied through fruit setting and when damage is a concern, to firm fruit and resist soft rot. Calcium is the structural nutrient in the cell wall, cross-linking pectins in the middle lamella so tissue holds its integrity under handling and storage; phosphate and potassium support the energy and water relations that keep it there. Why does stem strength matter?

Lodging - when stems bend or collapse under their own load or in wind and rain - causes direct yield and quality loss and makes harvest harder. Heavily fruiting or tall crops are especially vulnerable. Building structural strength into stems before peak load and weather exposure keeps the crop upright and productive.

How does Rigid Boost work?

Rigid Boost (1-4-4, with Ca 1.75%, Mg 1.00% and B 0.25%) combines calcium and magnesium with potassium, phosphorus and organic acids. Calcium cross-links pectins in the cell wall, while potassium and phosphorus support structural growth and water regulation. The result is improved stem strength, lodging resistance and tolerance to wind, so plants stay standing as they carry fruit and grain.
